today is my last travel day (but not my last vacation day: don't expect me back on Phabricator for the rest of the week!) – I'm heading back to Berlin, with a brief stop in Köln (Cologne)

great, the train from Brussels to Cologne just doesn't exist anymore, gotta use an alternative...

(and again, the cross-border train needs to be a regional one, because the Thalys alternative to the skipped ICE requires a reservation I don't have)

changing for Aachen at the lovely Verviers-Central (also could've taken the other train one stop further and changed into the same train in Welkenraedt, but the train attendant recommended changing here because it's on the same platform ^^)

oh, this isn't a terminus station! I thought it looked like one, but the train just goes through the station building into a short tunnel :D
